Here is another Chinese company making copies of Stanley planes. It is from Quangsheng. The planes look very nice in the pictures and the review I read online was pretty decent. So far, I believe they're being sold in the U.K and for us here in the U.S. the price seems kind of high, well ...to me . The web price for a No. 5 is about 99 GBP ,converted thats about $158 US (plus shipping). Its half the price of a Lie Nielsen No. 5 but then I wouldnt be expecting the same quality as a LN.

I think they are the same company that makes the WoodRiver planes for Woodcraft. Maybe the quality is a little better than the WoodRiver planes.

I buy older stanley and miller falls planes but I'd like to have something new and built well. LN doesnt seem like its going to happen for me for quite a while. I like the shape of the square side bedrocks so one day i may get the wood river plane. What I think is interesting about Workshop Heaven is that they sell Clifton and Quangsheng planes. They must really like them.
